The Mayor Al Ferro, along with the support of the Township Committee, Township Administrator Kevin Abernethy, School Board President Dr. John Sico, School Board Vice President Karina Ramos, Superintendent Dr. James McCartney, Supervisor of Transportation, Andrea Cece, Staff Sergeant Nicholas Agaccio, and SRO Tpr. Daniela Solano takes great pride in announcing the strategic placement of six “Stop For Stopped School Bus”” signs throughout Millstone Township. Millstone Township is committed to reinforcing the safety of its children. The placement and presence of these additional signs will further ensure and enforce their safety. We encourage residents to be mindful of school buses and their flashing stop signs when approaching. We also ask as a community to remain vigilant and report any safety concerns related to the signs or school bus stops.
The Mayor Al Ferro would also like to add “When like minds work together to achieve a common goal, success is inevitable. Working with the leadership at our School District, collaboration ensued, and we achieved another layer of safety for our residents. Installing these School bus no passing signs will be a constant reminder that motorists shall not pass school buses. It is our hope that these signs will have a direct positive impact on our collective safety”.
